Our Story

Specialising in British-made furniture alongside a curated selection of decorative lighting and outdoor furniture, we founded Rebecca Scott in 1997. At the heart of our brand is a simple belief that good design should be timeless and enjoyed for generations.

Before launching the company, we worked in our family’s interior design business, managing residential projects across the UK and abroad. During this time, we sourced from high-end suppliers worldwide but often struggled to find furniture that combined craftsmanship, longevity, and design flexibility outside of the ultra-luxury market. When we couldn’t find the pieces we needed—we decided to create them ourselves.

Our vision was to create classic English furniture with a twist, that combined a blend of materials and offered customers the ability to personalise our pieces according to their project requirements.

We began designing and producing our own range of British-made furniture, collaborating with local craftspeople and using traditional manufacturing techniques. Every collection is designed by Scott, often inspired by his love of Art Deco and his passion for combining materials and textures. Our standard collections can all be customised in size, finish, and detail, from bespoke inlays to unique material combinations—blending timeless, classic forms and adding a modern twist. The addition of our bespoke service means we can also create unique, furniture, upholstery and joinery for client projects.

Alongside our furniture collections, we offer a curated range of decorative lighting and luxury outdoor furniture, carefully selected for their quality, craftsmanship, and design heritage. We value working with family-owned manufacturers, many of whom have been perfecting their craft for generations and reflect the same values that align with our own brand.

As the demand for bespoke, personalised interiors continues to rise, we hope our current curated collections not only inspire but also provide tailored solutions for your next project— whether for a private residence, marine or the hospitality industry.

We are now celebrating 28 Years in business and our small team continues to remain grateful to the designers and clients we work with and who have supported us along the way. We still get a thrill seeing our pieces featured in projects around the world.
