There’s a particular clarity and texture to studio glass. The way it reflects and refracts light adds dimension, bringing variation in tone and finish that evolves with its surroundings. It lends a sense of movement, even when still.

Our newest lighting collections, Arpeggio and Volo, embody that spirit—each showcasing studio glass as the centrepiece. Crafted by the skilled artisans at Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting using traditional glassmaking techniques, these made-to-order pieces emphasise longevity, meticulous detail, and understated elegance.

Arpeggio introduces rhythm through layered, hand-fused glass panels—over 200 in some pieces—arranged to create texture, depth, and movement. Available in clear or warm multi-tonal glass, both options feature a mix of smooth, linear, and hammered glass effects. The clear offers a crisp, architectural quality, while the multi-tone introduces a richer, more atmospheric warmth.

The overall effect is sculptural—even when unlit—with tones and textures that shift throughout the day. Paired with finishes in Midnight Steel, Soft Gold or any of our standard finishes, the collection takes subtle inspiration from Art Deco, reimagined in a way that feels fresh and modern.

Volo is lighter and more pared back collection, drawing inspiration from the sensation of lift and air. It plays with balance and form, with geometric glass shapes that appear to float effortlessly in space. The studio glass is available in two textures—rippled and linear—and three tones: clear for a clean, open look; smoke for a tonal, refined atmosphere; and amber for warmth. The collection is completed with a choice of two metal finishes: Soft Gold, reminiscent of morning light, and Silver, which evokes the quiet stillness of a cloudy day. It can also be supplied in a range of bespoke or standard alternative finishes upon request.

Both collections respond to natural light creating movement and contrast. They’re well suited to entrance halls, dining areas, or any room—residential or hospitality—where layered lighting plays a key role in the overall scheme. More than just functional or decorative, they constantly adapt to their surroundings, introducing quiet shifts in tone throughout the day.
